THE BANDTHE BAND

Billy Martin
Lead Guitar

I was born in Spur Texas. My music life started at the age of twenty. Coming from a gospel background and a family of twelve children, there was always music in our home. My folks played and sang all of my young life. I was blessed with the talent to sing and later learned to play. I have been lucky enough to learn from the work with some very fine musicians. This has been the greatest ride anyone could have ever wished for. In 1992 I, along with the most supporting wife of 37 years, Linda, moved to Branson Missouri. It was there our lives truly changed. I was blessed to be hired in 1996 by Charley Pride. I am truly thankful for such a wonderful chance to work for such great folks. For the last 12 years I've been one of the Pridesmen. What a gift!

More
Danny Hutchins
Keyboard

I was born Jerry Daniel Hutchins Jr., in Oak Ridge Tennessee. I grew up very interested in music. I started playing piano at age 2, began playing the drums at age 6, then moved on to guitar at age 8. My sister Holly took piano lessons but didn't like it and soon gave up. I started to playing bass professionally at age 13. I graduated high school in 1997 and joined Charley soon thereafter as the keyboard player. When not working with the Pridesmen, I enjoy various other gigs and write songs. It is a great ride.

Derek Spigener
Drums

My first legitimate music study began at age 5. After constant 'tapping and banging', my parents agreed I should be turned over to the Professor of Percussion at Baylor University (Waco, Texas) for some proper channeling. Forty years later, I'm still tapping and hitting things. I've been the featured drummer and vocalist with The President's USAF Headquarters Band, the Air Force Band of New England, and a myriad of performance arenas throughout the globe. It's been a joy to share stages with so many who inspire me. I am passionate about instruction and am kept busy with clinics, seminars, and all things related to musical study. I currently operate two venues of private instruction when not touring with Charley. My true slice of heaven resides anywhere there's family. Maria and I are fortunate to have constant contact with kids,  grand kids, and family members scattered abroad. Annually, we pop over for family visits in Italy, Argentina, Chile etc. A very pleasant reminder that ours' continues to be a glorious life.

Reggie Rueffer
Fiddle

I have been playing guitar and violin since the age of 9. I made All-State orchestra all four years of high school and was concertmaster of the All-Region orchestra in my junior year. After attending North Texas State University in my freshman year, I was awarded a full scholarship to Southern Methodist University for my violin work. While playing in area bands, I also toured with Ray Price. In the 90's, I wrote, recorded and performed with two rock bands, a bluegrass band, and countless country/western/swing bands in the DFW area, which I continue to do, Pride's schedule permitting.

I am currently unmarried, living in Arlington, Texas.

Ron Jones
Bass Guitar

Born in Merced, California. I took up guitar at the age of 11 while living in Penang, Malaysia. Learning finger style guitar from records of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, my journey took me to Nashville. I played and toured with John Conlee, Vern Gosdin, Linda Davis, Tanya Tucker and Jeff Carson. In late 1999, I got a call to move to Texas and join up with Charley Pride, and I have been there ever since. Charlotte and I have a new home in Flower Mound, Texas, where I teach guitar schedule permitting. When stressed, Charlotte, a massage therapist, is always there.

Ronnie Miller
Steel Guitar

I was born in San Diego, California. My mother loved the steel guitar and took me for lessons at the young age of 5 years. When I was 19 I moved to Denver CO, playing the club circuit for many years. I moved to Dallas TX  in January 1993 to join the Pride family. Six months later, my wife Ginger and son Nick joined me. We have a daughter, Dawn, granddaughters, Merit, Abbie, Briana, and sons, Michael and Dustin. When not being a Pridesmen, I work with a few DFW bands and also do a few steel guitar shows around the country. Ginger and I enjoy traveling to Europe, cruising, and visiting family. We are truly blessed, and have a wonderful life.
